Welcome to Gnook (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, games, software, and related platforms (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, accessing, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.
By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old, or have the consent of a parent/guardian if under 18. Certain features may require you to be 18 or older. If you are using the Services on behalf of an entity, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity.
You agree not to misuse the Services. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:
You retain ownership of any original content you upload or create. However, by using the Services, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of providing the Services.
All company trademarks, logos, software, designs, and content are owned by Gnook and protected under U.S. and Texas law. You may not use our intellectual property without prior written consent.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms, applicable laws, or engage in conduct harmful to the platform or other users.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties or guarantees, express or implied, regarding availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Your use of the Services is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gnook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Gnook, its affiliates, employees, and partners against any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Constitution of the United States of America, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Harris County, Texas for any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms.
Before filing any claim, you agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting us. If disputes cannot be resolved informally, they shall be brought exclusively in Texas courts as noted above.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted with a “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13.1 All purchases are final. All purchases of G-Backs are final. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Gnook does not issue refunds, credits or exchanges for any reason, including unused balances, change of mind, or account closure or suspension.
13.2 Your statutory rights. This policy does not limit any right that cannot lawfully be excluded, and it does not affect your rights for defective or undelivered items. Where the law gives you a remedy for a defective or undelivered purchase, Gnook will provide it by delivering or re-crediting the G-Backs or item concerned, not by a refund.
13.3 G-Backs are licensed, not sold. G-Backs are a limited, revocable license to use a virtual-item balance only on G-Nook. G-Backs are licensed, not sold. They have no cash value, are not money, e-money or a deposit, and cannot be cashed out, exchanged for cash, or redeemed for money by Gnook or anyone else.
13.4 G-Tix are earned only. G-Tix are a promotional reward earned only through eligible activity on G-Nook. No purchase is necessary to earn G-Tix, and purchasing G-Backs does not earn G-Tix. G-Tix cannot be bought, sold, gifted, traded or transferred, and cannot be exchanged for G-Backs or for money. G-Tix have no cash value.
13.5 Chargebacks and payment disputes. If you dispute or charge back a payment, or report it as unauthorized, Gnook may hold the disputed G-Backs and freeze G-Tix redemptions on your account pending review while the dispute is open. Your access to your account is not suspended for disputing a charge. If the payment is reversed, the G-Backs from that purchase may be removed from your balance. If the dispute is decided in Gnook’s favor, the hold is released.
13.6 Purchases by minors. Parents and legal guardians are responsible for all purchases made by minors in their care, including purchases made with their payment method.
13.7 Agreement at checkout. Before each G-Backs purchase you must tick an unticked box confirming that you agree to these Terms, including that all purchases are final and non-refundable. We keep a record of that acceptance: the version of these Terms, the time, your IP address and your browser’s user agent.

14.1 Who may request one. Custom avatar requests are available only to account holders who are verified adults (18 or older). Accounts that are under 18, or whose age has not been verified, cannot submit a request, and any attempt to do so is refused.
14.2 What you must provide. You must upload a photo of yourself, confirm that the photo is of you, and describe the avatar you want (the look, the outfit, and whether it is a person or a creature). You may not upload a photo of another person. We never create nude, sexual or exposed-body avatars, and requests for them are refused.
14.3 Acceptance is not guaranteed. Every request is reviewed by a G-Nook administrator before any work starts. Acceptance is not guaranteed, and a request may be denied for any reason, including a reason we give you.
14.4 Fees are non-refundable. A reviewer fee in G-Backs is charged when you submit. If the request passes our wireframe process, a final approval fee in G-Backs is charged before the avatar is released to you. Both fees are non-refundable, including when a request is denied. Fees are paid in G-Backs only and never in G-Tix.
14.5 All submittals are final. A submitted request, its photo and its description cannot be changed or withdrawn after you confirm it.
14.6 Your photo. Your photo is stored privately, is visible only to authorized G-Nook administrators, and is used only to review and make your requested avatar. Each avatar is given a content rating by the operator who completes it. Avatars rated adult may be shown only in adult worlds, and only to verified adults.
14.7 Agreement at submission. Before you confirm a request you must tick an unticked box agreeing that acceptance is not guaranteed, all fees are non-refundable and all submittals are final. We keep a record of the Terms version you agreed to.
